The mission of the Wellsboro Shade Tree Commission is to protect and preserve the shade tree canopy in the Borough of Wellsboro.  A comprehensive tree care program has been developed which includes:

• Street Tree Inventory
• Hazard Removal Program
• Bare Root Planting Program
• Group stump removal program
• Pruning clinics and demonstrations
• Proper tree care for preservation of our shade canopy
• Homeowner technical assistance
• Planting Plan Approval for Commercial Development

We work in close conjuction with Vinnie Cotrone, Penn State University Urban Forester and Bernie Dincher, ISA Board Certified Master Arborist.
