Pool Updates

With support from local funders (foundations and individuals) and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), the main pool of the Packer Park Renovation Project has a solid funding plan.  Presently, we are working with DCNR to gain the approval of the National Park Service for $1.2 million dollars to be disbursed from the Land and Water Conservation Fund toward this project.  However, we still need financial support as there are plenty of unmet needs at the park including:  bathhouse replacement, park bathroom replacement, wading pool area improvements, playground resurfacing, and tennis & basketball court resurfacing.  You can help by contributing to the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health during the Raise the Region 30 Hour Giving Campaign, March 11 at 6:00 PM to March 12 at 12:00 midnight.
